Botox
Botox is a prescription medicine that is used to reduce dynamic lines caused by muscles of facial expression. Transformations MedSpa clients request Botox to have a more relaxed, refreshed appearance. Botox is a quick and minimally invasive procedure consisting of a few tiny Botox injections.
What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is the product name for Allergan’s cosmetic wrinkle removing drug. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent that works at motor nerve endings (nerves that lead to muscles). BOTOX® Cosmetic is a drug used for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe facial lines.
In April of 2002 BOTOX® Cosmetic was first approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), following previous approvals for severe medical problems as far back as 1989. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the trademark that Allergan decided to use to refer to their botulinum toxin A product.
What is a BOTOX® Injection?
"BOTOX® injection" or "botox shot" is the term most widely used to describe the procedure of administering the Allergan BOTOX® Cosmetic treatement. BOTOX® injections utilize Botulinum Toxin Type A to treat wrinkles. BOTOX® Injections were originally slated to treat neurological disorders; today, BOTOX® injections are widely used to remove facial lines, especially frown lines, "crow's feet," and forehead lines.

Dermal fillers
Dermal Fillers are injections utilized to replace volume loss or lines. Careful injection by a certified Transformations MedSpa medical staff member can fill-in the gaps from volume loss and those stubborn lines. Dermal fillers can be a Botox alternative or used in conjunction with Botox for full correction. Unlike Botox, which relaxes the facial muscles, fillers will replace the volume under the wrinkle and lift the skin up to appear smooth and youthful. What is Juvederm Dermal Filler?
Juvederm gel is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate and add volume. Hyaluronic acid may diminish with age, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm injectable gel works to correct this by restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin, helping to smooth wrinkles and folds. Because Juvéderm injectable gel is a simple, nonsurgical treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime.

How long does Juvederm last?
Typcially, Juvederm will provide 6 to 12 months correction.
